On 2nd February, the Centre for Religion and Public Life is hosting a research seminar with Professor Andrew Thorpe, who will speak about

Methodism and the British Labour movement, 1890-1939

Andrew Thorpe is Professor of Modern History, and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures, at the University of Leeds. He is an expert on the Labour party and the labour movement in British history, and is currently researching the connection between these with Methodism as a religious movement.
